How hypnosis is different from traditional talk therapy: Traditional talk therapy (psychology) is great and has a very important place in mental health, but it relies on the clients coming to their own logical resolutions in the conscious mind. The problem with this is when one's emotional reaction is beyond logic and the triggered stress response is too big for learned coping mechanisms to help in the moment.


Hypnosis addresses the responses happening in the subconscious mind to uncover the root of the problem that may be causing distress, and further provides a safe and comforting space for the client to work through these issues. Coping mechanisms are great, but the goal is not have to rely on them so that you can live with freedom.


It is important to know that hypnosis is not always the most appropriate therapy for individuals and in some cases completely contraindicated, therefore I have several psychologists, psychiatrists, or programs I will refer you to if I feel that is what will better meet your needs. These methods alone can stimulate your nervous system's parasympathetic response (rest and digest)  creating a more efficient pathway to set new healthy patterns of calmness with hypnotherapy. Furthermore, if the physical pain etcetera you're feeling is caused by emotion, cranio-sacral therapy will help to bring balance and massage will bring comfort as the emotion is released
