Your Hypnosis Session
First, your therapist will explain more about what hypnosis is and expel any myths you may have heard about it.
Second, you and your therapist will discuss the issues and goals you are going to achieve, and recommend the most appropriate program for you.
Third, provided you are completely comfortable with the hypnosis process and your therapist the actual hypnosis session will begin.
You will be guided into a very deep state of physical and mental relaxation. You will feel very relaxed and may or may not still be aware of everything going on around you. Your hypnotherapist will help you to uncover the true root of the problem and help you to release it. Suggestions for the change you desire will be given to your powerful subconscious mind. These suggestions will enter your subconscious and become a part of you. The old programming which was keeping you from achieving your goals or which was causing the problem will be removed allowing you to accomplish your goal and move forward with success and confidence.
You will then be awakened from hypnosis with strong suggestions of good health and positive attitude. You will feel wonderful. These suggestions will last yet may require reinforcement.
Number of sessions required:
Using a systematic approach, most clients visit the office for an average of 4 60-minute sessions. This is the average number of sessions required to create permanent and lasting results. However for smoking cessation the average number is 1-3 sessions.
